Hi, I’m Sam, the local adventurer behind Spots Around Memphis. I’m a lifelong Memphian with a deep love for Memphis and everything the Mid-South has to offer. From festivals and food, to trails, river views, and spontaneous weekend escapes, I truly love experiencing this city and region in every season. Adventure has always been part of who I am.
Over the years, I’ve traveled widely across the United States, camping, kayaking, road-tripping, and seeking out the kinds of places that turn ordinary weekends into unforgettable memories. I spent two summers working on a ranch in Wyoming, which deepened my love for the outdoors, wide-open spaces, and the joy of exploration. But no matter where I travel, I always come back to the Mid-South.
There’s something special about the blend of culture, nature, music, food, and small-town charm that surrounds Memphis.
